At this time of year in Qingliangzhai, the red leaves stretch from the foot to the peak of the mountain, their vibrant hues blending intensity with unrestrained exuberance. The mountainside, ablaze with crimson foliage, seems to whisper endless tales of passion and vitality. From mid-to-late October, the scenic area’s red leaves and ginkgo trees enter their prime viewing season, drawing throngs of tourists from nearby cities who flock to witness this spectacle of nature’s fiery artistry.

According to reports, the scenic area boasts over 30,000 ginkgo trees, primarily concentrated in the Folk Village, including more than 42 ancient ginkgo trees aged over a century. The red foliage spans an area exceeding 5,000 mu, dominated by species such as trident maple (Acer buergerianum), five-lobed maple (Acer mono), and Chinese tallow tree (Sapium sebiferum). These vibrant hues are concentrated in key locations including Hongye Gorge, Jiuzui Lake, and secluded valleys, where layered forests are drenched in autumnal color, creating a breathtakingly magnificent spectacle of nature's artistry.
